The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) was established in the year 2004 under the auspices of Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, named after the legendary Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, physician extraordinaire, visionary and architect of modern West Bengal. Graduates of the department are expected to excel in their professional careers through creation and innovation in the professional industrial environment, pursue research or entrepreneurship, by acquiring comprehensive knowledge in specialized sciences, and fundamental quantitative methods.
Graduates of the department are expected to behave as complete management professional by adhering to the industrial codes of product, professional ethics and values, and be flexible to address the challenges of managerial and leadership roles specially in a multi-cultural environment.
